Dear Virginia:
Thank you for let me know that there is a new kind of second citizenship under our constitution. Last time I check, Puertorican still pay custom taxes for all the merchandise that comes to PR from foreing countries. We also have to use the airlines from USA and all the maritime transportation between PR and the mainland is in USA flag ships. If you are concerned about the 6 MILLION Puertoricans that do not pay federal income tax, how about the 6 MILLIONS Floridians that do not fill up a Federal income tax neither? There are more than 40 MILLIONS Americans living in the mainland that do not pay Federal Taxes. So, why do you pick on the Puertorricans? My nephew just came back from his third tour on Irak and guess what? He was fighting wearing the uniform of the USA, not the Taliban, that as a matter of fact, you speak like one. I am a Puertorican living in Florida and people like you should not represent our beautiful state.
Congresswoman Virginia what makes an American to you? I personally have no problems being born and raised in New York City. Having lost a brother to the Vietnam War. He was only 18 when he died in that war in 1967 yet his parents came from Puerto Rico. "Foreign Country" give up there sons?
Ms. Brown: I should be writting you in my native language, Spanish, but being more educated than many US Representatives I decided to do it in English so that you understand the we are very much concerned with your improper comments regarding us Puertorricans. Be advised that we are as US Citizens as you are. If you take some time to do just a little research, you will find out that there are many thousands of Puertorricans that have contributed much more to the United States than you have done.
Dear Congresswoman: We Puertoricans would like you to sponsor a bill in Congress that would bring back to life the THOUSANDS of "Foreign Citizen" PuertoRican lives that have been lost fighting for the United States of America in World War One and Two, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Gulf Wars One and Two plus the dozens of conflicts and skirmishes your government has participated throughout this century without consulting us or asking for our opinion. Also, if you think it prudent you could put in that bill, the surviving veterans of those wars could have back the lost limbs, be erased of the mental suffering and be like they where before they experienced the atrocities of war. I'm sure all those things, if approved by congress, would compesate for your refusal of giving us 300 dollars. Sincerely, Foreign citizen, Hector De Jesus
How dare you insulting the lovely people of Puerto Rico that way? We're not Foreigners!!! Maybe you are since you don't have a culture and copy everything other minorities do and identify as your own. It's very disrespectful you say something like that when your sons or daughters can't even step into war. My nefnew and my brother-in-law are US soldiers who went to Iraq while the rest of your family are partying like nothing happen. Many Puerto Ricans have lost their lives in this insane war of Irak that your so-called pResident caused and you have that racist remark that we're just foreigners comparing to Illegals is the point of the iceberg.
That teaches me, even with a PHD in Harvard or Ivy League or some other "prestigious" colleges in the US, many politicians are behaving like dumbass jackasses kinda like you.
By the way, keep that money and shove it. We're not Beggars!
Congress Woman Brown when I heard that you had inserted your foot in your mouth by declaring that Puerto Ricans were foreign citizens I was in total disbelief, because I coudn't comprehend how a person in such a high Federal position and supposedly highly educated, could possibly be devoid of common historical knowledge. Your comment is not only inaccurate/insulting,but also racist. I feel that an apology is not only warranted but demanded by the U.S . Citizens of Puerto Rican descent on the mainland, and those on the island of Puerto Rico,USA. Please give my regards to my fellow "Boricuas" which reside in your state of Florida ,I hope that they haven't been alienated to the point that they will no longer support you or your Republican Party. For your benefit I'll close with a historical fact, Florida was discovered and named by a Puerto Rican, our first Governor,Juan Ponce Deleon. Thank You for your attention JORGE-LUIS RIVERA,USAF VET.

Ms. Virginia Brown, like US citizens, you need to go back to college, and re-learn your american history. I am a third generation puertorican that has served the US forces. How dare you tell me I am foreign US citizen? We don't taxes? I had lived in many states, and each one of them has federal, state, and county taxes arrangements for their state needs. Puerto Rico has has its own arrangement due to the needs of its state or island. Go back or get out, and let the next generation that has better understanding of todays and future needs.
for this person who does not know nothing about america history and about the majority population of america that is us the puerto ricans, i said is a shame to have such individuals in our goverment and white house, and before they speak investigate first. us puertorican we pay taxes, in puerto rico and if we work for the united states even if we live in puerto rico we have to pay taxes for both places, our education, money, social security etc. are rule by the goverment of united states. our national guard represents united states, mostly are all in iraq. mostly our men grandfathers, uncle, cousins, sons and daughter are serving at this moment the united state military service. so in other words we are american and american citizens. please check before you talk.
I was proud to serve with brave, proud, and courageous Puerto Ricans in Vietnam. How much blood and sweat did Ms Brown shed? How much hardship did she endure.....SHAME....SHAME....SHAME
I read each post and I realize one thing; Ignorance cannot be covered by Political Rank. I don't know who typed up her bill but they should have told her of the big mistake she was making. How many of us pay taxes, have died for our country, have held important possitions in every branch of the Goverment?. How many of us need a passport to go back home?
you've got to respect me!!!!, I'm an USA citizen like you!!!!, give me money!!! AUHMMM Doh!!!
I suppose for Virginia you have to be blond and blue eyes to be a US citizen. Sadly all of these blonds and blue eyes came from Europe. They should be second, third, fourth, fifth and so on generations of European citizens. Puertorricans on the other hand, are born US citizen whether Virginia like it or not. Yes, Puertorricans living in Puerto Rico don't pay federal tax, but they also receive less support from the federal government. If they are exempt to pay is because the federal government would have to pay back a lot more money than they now pay.

Why are Citizens being attacked? Mar. 01, 08
Nothing in this world is more alarming then the fact that U. S. Citizens are being attacked
and done harm by the U S Government Satellite Program.
I was attacked while in Ohio early last year, March and April, after some traveling to
Oklahoma, and on to Amarillo, Texas. Apparently, this torturing started before my trip West, for I
suffered substantially, prior to that time, not realizing what was happening to me.
Throughout 06-07 winter, October until my journey West in March, I suffered an
agonizing experience of an equal consequence. At that time, I consider it much more evil and
more deadly, for it was done within my home, day and night, while sleeping, while eating, while
using the bathroom.
You may ask “how can a person be harm, tortured I would say, within their home and not
be able to defend themselves.” My understanding was revealing when I thought back to how
Russia, in the Cold War, beamed energies into the United States Embassy office building in
Moscow, Russia. It wasn’t until some time that the administrations in Moscow realize what was
happening, mainly because there was no way of knowing what was happening to the individuals
while on duty. I don’t remember the details of the occurrences, but apparently the people there at
the Embassy became sickly and this bombardment of energies hindered their work.
Could the government in this country, pick out individual citizens who may have irritated
a few people, doing them harm? The only reason I’m able to protect myself from this tormenting
affect, is my understanding of what actually happened in the Embassy in Moscow. Beams of
energy at a specific frequency converging at some designated intersect, namely me while minding
my affairs here in my home, tormenting and doing me harm.
I’m sure you are extremely hesitant about even thinking such a thing is happening. Yes,
this was my first thought when Satellites defense technology came to mind, “is it possible?”
“Could it be, someone like me, am under surveillance, attacked by such high tech equipment?” No
Way! I thought. But, after weeks of suffering its affect, I discovered truly, satellites are involved.
It was recent I’ve been able to pinpoint the exact direction of those invading my privacy,
remembering the U S Embassy in Moscow, Russia. I decided it would do no good to contact the
Police Dept. “Where’s the harm?” “Where’s the evidence?”—only those who are involved would
understand such uncivilized tactics. Spying and harm goes on today and now. Are you willing to
believe such evil, is happening, is going on in my home? The End.
H.R. 3291, The Student and Teacher Safety Act of 2007
This is the same as the The Student and Teacher Safety Act of 2006
This MANDATES that schools have rules setup for TEACHERS to search students...up and INCLUDING STRIP SEARCHES!!!
We don't have enough teacher/student abuse, now they want to make it legal!!
What the HECK are people thinking!?!?!??!?
