To whom it may concern:
I will not weary you in a lot of vague ideas and experiences, for they will offer nothing to give
action toward your investigating the area of my concern. My concern is coming from above,
namely Space Satellites. The Federal Government has placed in space, for National Security
reasons Space Stations to observe areas of our great country, thinking that our enemies may
attack us. Of course, some individuals within the Government, citizens too, believe any and all
means are necessary to protect and defend the citizens of this Great Nation, and I agree. The thing
is, these Satellites can and are being used for seeking out and disrupting citizens from their normal
everyday activities. Satellite technology doing harm to citizens is a dastardly thing within any
country when their technology becomes the controlling factor to those citizens living “the pursuit
of happiness” dream.
For me to comprehend its existence, Satellite Technology and its usage is as mysterious as
its ramifications on my life. The continuous effect of The Satellite Program has advanced my
interest; otherwise, I would have never become involved. The effects of Satellite bombardment
are unbroken in any and all my endeavors. The Satellite program has totally surrounded me,
controlling me, consequentially forging me outside my normal existence.
It is difficult to describe the effects and harm the U S Government is doing to my body.
My toenail has a tear; toes are discolored, small reddest mark on different part of my body. Laser
is being used more of late, due to it’s effectiveness in penetrating my surround barriers. There is
no end to the torturing I’m suffering. To say the least, I need something done, an immediately.
I’m hoping you may help me in this distressing matter.
As I understand, nearly a year of constant surveillance and harmful penetration, satellites
are operated by using a ground coordinator. A person who physically monitors, making contact
with me, following me by vehicle or coming close to my approxime while in stores, etc. The
spying while in my home is done with equipment in neighboring homes, surveillance of my every
move 24 hours a day.
Sincerely, Lawrence E Richards 352-585-5466

Here in Rockland County, New York, we’re fed-up with stone-cold anti-environmentalists threatening our homes with unrelenting commercial jumbo-jet overflights. We’re incredulous that an eight-term Congressman would support the already-failed, chronically-unsafe regime of FAA Acting Administrator Robert A. (“Bobby”) Sturgell. So our environmental group “Quiet Rockland” has called for the resignation of hard-core extremist conservative Representative John L. Mica (R-Fl.) from the U.S. House Transportation Committee and the House Subcommittee on Aviation.
It’s time for Mica to flake himself off from the American political landscape. His harmful transportation legacy includes the Minnesota bridge collapse and Alaskan “bridge to nowhere” fiasco each occurring under his watch. Mica’s bald plugs for the FAA and aviation over-expansionism are as tiresome as an “Apply directly to the forehead!” TV commercial – as well as hazardous to innocent American people.
Through long-distance cyber-contribution to the political process, ‘Quiet Rockland’ will afford every assistance to help the informed electorate in Florida’s Seventh District chip Mica and his cronies away from elected office in November. Any vote ‘for Mica’ would be a vote for Mica’s vacuous petro-plastic culture. Yet aviation safety and the environment require an approach far less inanimate, and one far more sentient and human. John L. Mica is incapable of anything so organic.
As career mouthpiece for the FAA and the rich aero community, Mica recognizes no value beyond the smell of spent jet-fuel and the crinkled-paper sound of a handed-over almighty Dollar. We embrace the wisdom of clean open space and peace-and-quiet, in lieu of further Mica-forced inhalation of fossil-fuel for the sake of someone else’s quick-and-dirty paper profit. The governmental function of objective aviation regulation must be reinstituted. The stewardship currently feigned by Sturgell and Mica must be scissored out. Costs of their ouster should now be for the airlines to pay.
Mica has been ‘kept’ in office for 15 years by a staid homogeneous constituency in northeast and central Florida. Mica’s 7th District includes wealthy businesses of the greater Orlando area, and others with a keen special interest in maximizing their own revenues by over-scheduling flights and over-saturating our skies. Seeking to protect only the living rooms of his well-heeled campaign donors from any airplane noise, John Mica meanwhile abuses his influence and position on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee and the Aviation Subcommittee to further placate those same aero-loyalists.
Mica shills for the FAA and its would-be head ‘Bobby’ Sturgell, and even road-shows for Sturgell’s ill-conceived wasteful $53.5 million boondoggle known as the ‘NY/NJ/PHL Airspace Redesign’ aimed directly at our homes in the Northeast. While Congressman Mica is Ranking Member of the Transportation Committee, what’s truly ‘rank’ are the Mica-extruded conflicts-of-interest while he purports to further the cause of air safety.
Replete with hypocritical chutzpah is Mica’s recent accusation that others in Congress played special-interest politics when resisting Sturgell’s late-year quest for a fast-track confirmation hearing as FAA head. That would be like Ike criticizing JFK for having a receding hairline. Mica doth project too much. His patterns are too easily read.
Though dimmed at the edges by the current opaque duplicitous FAA with which Mica regularly allies, crystally-clear transparent is Mica’s brazen pandering to wealthy elements of the aero-mercantile complex who got him elected and keep him in office. Parts of Mica’s Federal Election Commission list of political contributors at ‘http://www.fec.gov’ read like a ‘Who’s Who’ of aviation-industry operatives. Campaign donors include airlines, PAC-shielded FAA managers, and even failed former FAA head Marion Clifton Blakey herself. Mica’s own aviation machinations are as flaky as Blakey.
While the cue-ball with which Mica ran the political pool-table 8 times to date, will sink by November - that’s not soon enough. John Mica should step down from the Transportation Committee and Aviation Subcommittee for the sake of the safety of this country and all air travel within it. While many in the Northeast have considered moving to Florida simply to vote against John Mica in the next possible election, in the meantime Rocklanders today launch a website to similar effect called ‘http://www.anyonebutmica.com’.
‘Quiet Rockland’ encourages citizens interested in defeating those that would harm our environment and our homes, to please access that website. For too long John L. Mica has been provided a rug of cover by aeronautical special interests. It is now time for Mica to come out from under that rug.
The supposed federal regulators of aviation have failed this country yet again, with their own arrogance, malice, incompetence, and ignorance.
It is an outrageous abomination that Bobby Sturgell and his FAA cannot even bother to coordinate with other federal agencies like the TSA and the USDOT so as to ensure: (A) that those that would harm our country do not even enter, much less be trained at and matriculate from, FAA-certified flight schools; (B) that those that would harm our country cannot in any way gain entry to, much less work for, FAA-certified aircraft repair facilities worldwide which may work on fuel-laden, passenger-filled aircraft bound for the USA, as discussed at the February 29, 2008 Senate Commerce Committee hearing at which Sturgell and USDOT head Mary Peters testified, now available on the Internet; (C) that those that would harm our country be required to spend at least more time than the perfunctory 18 seconds through the TSA cordon at Newark Liberty International Airport as passengers have recently experienced at EWR, as reported by the press this week.
Bobby Sturgell is a harmful and dangerous individual whose malice and incompetence must be summarily rejected by the further outcry of the American people. Bobby Sturgell must be ousted from office as current Acting Head of the FAA. It is abundantly clear that he is ONLY acting – and for that matter, he is a bad actor.
Moreover, Bobby Sturgell is a liar who has already perjured himself repeatedly to save his own proverbial reptilian skin, and to protect solely the interests of the monied aeromercantile complex for which Sturgell regularly shills.
Citizens in Rockland County, NY, as well as citizens in New Jersey, Connecticut, Delaware, and Pennsylvania, and elsewhere, were mouth-agape aghast while watching the evasive and false under oath testimony and answers given by Bobby Sturgell on Thursday, February 7, 2008, to the Senate Commerce Committee. Our citizen group Quiet Rockland has thanked Congress for making the webcast testimony of Bobby Sturgell and the proceedings generally, available to all of us, real time and now archived, through RealPlayer software, on the Senate website.
Bobby Sturgell arrogantly insulted Senators Boxer, McCaskill, and Lautenberg, among all of the rest of us, with his persistent utter refusal to answer the most simple of direct Yes-or-No questions. Sturgell made Watergate conspirators sound like they testified on sodium pentothal by comparison. Senator McCaskill asked the core essential question: Do you think air traffic controller fatigue was a contributing factor[?], to runway incursion mishaps, and the slipperiest of eels, the eel of Sturgell, the Sturg-eel, sought to squirm away in the scripted slime of non answers.
Bobby Sturgell, acting FAA head for three months, testified that he had no prior knowledge of the San Diego aircraft near-miss a few weeks ago?
LIE.
Sturgell testified that he had no prior knowledge of recent Newark, NJ departures flying out in the wrong direction in the past few weeks?
LIE.
The nomination of Bobby Sturgell as proposed FAA Administrator should not be confirmed. Instead, after he first personally apologizes to Senators Boxer, McCaskill, and Lautenberg, Bobby Sturgell should then be INDICTED - for contempt of Congress, for rendering perjured testimony under oath, and for already putting millions of otherwise innocent and unsuspecting Americans directly at risk and in the way of harm. Quiet Rockland has now faxed every Senator on the Commerce Committee, asking them to please refer this matter to the AG, IG, GAO, and a Special Prosecutor, and to please now cook this eel.
