I was a secretary for modular home builders. I worked hard, and "thought" I was a "valuable" employee. With business slowing down, I kind of knew they were looking for a reason and my days were numbered. I was terminated for "poor work performance" because of a minor mistake I had made a little over a year prior, during my first week on the job. They said they'd give me a good reference and wouldn't challenge my unemployment claim. How kind and generous of them, huh? They could have just laid me off, or cut my hours, (which, of course still wouldn't have been much better), but two days later my job was in the local paper for $3/hr less than I was being paid. Go figure. My question here is does this only apply to people who were "laid off" or would I qualify for this extension although I was "terminated"?

I hope someone can answer this for me. I "might" have a part time position- 18 hours/week (should know by tomorrow.)This will be less than half my full time hours and $4/hr less than my last position, but it beats a 0. If I accept this and there is an extension, would I be able to collect partial benefits?
